Global Climate Strike

  • Friends of Ardee Bog Ardee County Louth Ireland (map)

Friends of Ardee Bog supports the Global Climate Strike on Friday September 23, 2022.

In the morning we will hold creative workshops at the BOG CAFE in the old church on John Street in Ardee. These are for local primary school students, but others are welcome to pop in and make climate strike signs and join us.

In the afternoon there will be a Bog Garden walking tour in Ardee Bog and students and others are welcome to join and hold a climate strike in the bog. We’ll confirm details!

Our pop-up BOG CAFE opens that day, so it will be a fun day. Join us!

We’ll share more info here closer to the date once we confirm details.

REASONS TO STRIKE

Many question why millions of children and adults across the world are taking the time to strike: don’t they have school, work or other responsibilities?

The answer is simple: We strike because we have no choice. We are fighting for our future and for our children’s future. We strike because there is still time to change, but time is of the essence. The sooner we act, the better our shared future will be.

ON SEPTEMBER 23RD, WE WILL STRIKE FOR CLIMATE REPARATIONS AND JUSTICE!

Join us for the Global Climate Strike as we demand policymakers and world leaders to prioritize #PeopleNotProfit! We demand that our Governments listen to MAPA voices and immediately work to provide Loss & Damage Finance to the communities most affected by the climate crisis.
